Build a tracked link

Open Build, paste the destination, fill in source, medium and campaign, check that the Result panel says the link follows your naming rules, and press Create link to save it to the team's history with an optional short link and QR code.

Build your link

1. Open Build
   In Link Console, open the Build tab. To reuse saved settings, pick one under Start from a template.
2. Add the destination
   Paste the page into Destination URL. If you paste a link that already has UTMs, Link Console splits them into the fields for you.
3. Fill in the values
   Fill in Source, Medium and Campaign (fields marked * are required), plus Term, Content or Campaign ID as needed. Approved values appear as suggestions; a locked parameter shows a list to choose from.
4. Read the Result panel
   The full URL updates as you type. "Will be saved as" shows how a value will be cleaned; press Use it now to apply it. Problems that block the link are listed, and "Follows your naming rules." appears when it is ready.
5. Choose a short link
   Keep Create a short link and QR code ticked to get a short link. On Pro you can type a custom ending after go.planconversion.com/.
6. Create and copy
   Add Notes (optional) if helpful, then press Create link. Use Copy full URL, Copy short link or Open, and design the QR code below the result.

Good to know

• Values are cleaned with your naming rules when you save, even if you don't press Use it now.
• If a value is not on a locked list, press Request approval next to the problem. See Naming rules and approved values.
• Platform placeholders such as {campaignid} or {{campaign.name}} are left as they are.
• Every link is saved to Links, the shared history, with who built it. Viewers can't create links.
• Press Save as template to reuse these settings, or Clear to start over.
